Fuerteventura Beaches

This tiny fishing hamlet, situated on the southwestern tip of the island, is extremely remote. Popular with windsurfers, it has just one local restaurant, which serves fresh seafood.

This white sandy beach backed by sand dunes is about 10 kilometers long (6 miles) long and lies in the northeast of the island. From the beach there are excellent views of the Isla los Lobos island and Lanzarote. The tourist infrastructure is good around the town of Corralejo, not so good elsewhere.

This is a small but pretty beach in a natural and unspoilt setting. The calm sea and gentle winds attract many vistors.

The beach south of El Cotillo in the northwest of the island is not a busy one but its strong waves are very popular with surfers.

It takes a determined effort to reach this remote and windswept beach of white sand near the village of Cofete. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and stretches 12 kilometers, the winds are very fierce here and its not a safe place for children to swim.

Probably the most beautiful beach on the island, the beach stretches 22 kilometers down the northeast coast of the Jandia Peninsula. Lonely bays alternate with the busy beaches clustered around the resorts. A lagoon fronts the section of beach called Playa Barca, protecting the shore from strong breakers and making it safe to swim.
